Guest guest
<<For those who are not so energetic, they can Rose Petal Jam ready made at URL http://www.AV-AT.com/jam.html >> And I can attest that Butch's Rose Petal Jam is delicious, because I bought several last December for myself and for gifts... in fact, his jam is what got me hooked ion the stuff n the first place. The only reason I'm making it myself now is because I've already spent all my spare change on his essential oils, leaving me none left for jam, wah! lol. Thanks for the distillery description and link, Butch. I didn't think they'd refrigerate the flowers, but was wondering how they managed handling all those fleurs. Very interesting! Wish I could afford to see it in person.. .never did make it over to that corner of th world. Well, maybe if I win the Lotto... I " invested " in a ticket today, haha. By the way, while looking for a site I remembered having seen a year or two ago on using rose leaves for herbal tea, I found an interesting link on roses in Mrs. Grieves, " A Modern Herbal " http://botanical.com/botanical/mgmh/r/roses-18.html. This particular webpage talks about the different kinds of roses grown for rose water and essential oil, and how the different countries grew and processed them. The book was written in 1931, so it gives a kind of historical view of roses... fairly interesting site of medical herbal usage in general. <<Also .. for you soap makers .. Jenny raises goats so she has lots of goat milk for sale. It does NOT spoil easily and can be frozen and shipped .. that's a fact.>> Well, it's true that I have LOTS of milk, because my deer breeder buyer backed out, so I'm drying up most of the goats posthaste as soon as the kids are weaned... 10 gallons a day will be hard to dispose of, LOL!
