MLMs In General

Hi y'all,

 

Here is a post I made to a couple of small lists a few days ago when a

blatent attempt to recruit distributors was made .. by another MLM ..

Neways. I do not condemn those who fall for such tactics .. they are

normally honest folks who want to make an honest living .. but they are

also victims and if this post can help in any way, it was worth it.

 

Later, a lady from NZ (yep, they're everywhere) came out on this list

and said she had gone into debt trying to sell Neways oils and they were

mediocre at best in the first place. Following is the gist of my post.

I wrote:

Neways is another of the Utah based Multi-Level Marketing Companies.

Others are Young Living and Brain Garden .. all operate in pretty much

the same manner except its believed that Young Living uses religion and

teaches unsafe use of the oils.

 

Some Marketeer wrote:

What a statement! Safer than what?

I think you mean more effective and I'll ask you for what? And such a

general statement as " you can have better health " is not doing much to

promote the company you are pitching. It sorta lacks credibility.

 

> and free of dealing with cancer-causing ingredients.

 

Want to name them? I'm sorta knowledgeable on essential oils and the

processes of distillation .. steam, hydro-steam and hydro-distillation,

but I'm not aware of any cancer-causing ingredients in any EO.

 

Nor am I aware of any problems with the essential oils sold by Neways

but still, its a Multi-Level Marketing outfit and that bothers me.

This is the hype of ALL Multi-Level Marketeers! Multi-Level Marketing

is a system of marketing which normally puts more emphasis upon the

recruiting of distributors than on the selling of products. The one who

makes the money is the one who signs folks up .. and the most money is

made by the company when they sell the distributor the initial kit.

Everybody to their own thing .. but the extensive training promised by

most MLMs never occurs .. and one thing is sure, if the person who made

this post had any knowledge of essential oils, they cast it aside when

they made the wild claims above.
