We got steam irons here in Turkey but still my maid uses such a device.

I have two in storage in Tennessee .. both are Oak with brass fittings.

Used to roll'em up .. still got'em chewed up now and then.

Farmers still use them in Kentucky .. you can't get an electric cord

long enough to reach to some of the fields and barns .. ;-p

I still do it sometimes .. especially in summer .. reckon I always will.

They were called Nick'a'Lips .. I think 5 to a case for a nickel.

Yep .. and they used names like Lucky Strike, Camel and Pall Mall .. and

the ends of them were painted red.

Still got'em in some places.

 

> 5. Coffee shops with table side jukeboxes

 

Got one in Guthrie and one in Elkton .. Kentucky. And punch boards too.

 

> 6. Home milk delivery in glass bottles with cardboard stoppers

 

Still got home delivery in Kentucky but now they have tin foil lids and

you CAN get glass bottles. Almost all the milk in Turkey comes in glass

except for the long-life sterile stuff.

I'm pretty sure we still got some'a them in the hills of Kentucky.

Still use'em .. Dollar Store sells'em back home. Pull up handles too.

You mean .. they don't use it no more? Blue stuff and Alcohol odor.

Had a Commander and a Hawk .. both hot little cars they were.

Folks still got'em back home .. lots of garages use'em to clean rags.
