It was really hard to see GIANT trees on logging trucks every day living in the Pacific NW...very sad- old growth out there means hundreds and even thousand year old trees...here in the east they call old growth 50- 100 years- the trees growth and life cycle is drastically different. I sure do miss those ancient forests- and I think my referance to the ring of fire is to make ME feel better that I dont live there! My husband is a geographer and studied geomorphology at Humboldt State- where his instuctor said on the first day of clas... " dont take it personally if I dont help anyone if this room begins to shake- Im jumping out the window...FAST! " So he has a bit of a drastic perspective from studying that stuff... I sure do love it out there- and I remember a photo you posted of your property- Gorgeous! You are truly blessed! Michelle(Vermont is pretty amazing, too!)
