I get mine at the neighborhood hardware store.

OK, my first batch of soap continues to evade me! Would you believe I

cannot find lye anywhere? It is not in any supermarkets here next to the

Draino, nor is it at Sam's Club or CVS. I was thinking of trying Home Depot

tomorrow. Any other thoughts? I also couldn't even find a bulk resource

for it online. Any help would be most appreciated!

Thanks,

Debbie

Where are you at? Here it is in every store, including Walmart. Red Devil

is the brand I can get a hold of. I'd try a hardware store like ACE if you

can't find it in the supermarket.

Good Luck!

You would think I'm further out in the boonies than you, but I'm actually in

land o' malls here in central MA. We actually don't have a Walmart yet, but

they are building one. I will definitely check a hardware store first thing

tomorrow morning.

Thanks! (and you too, Sandy)

You can get it from snowdriftfarm.com in 2lb containers and they don't have

to charge the 17.00-20.00 hazardous material fee. I think you can get it

from rainbowmeadow.com who has the " good " e-wax too by the way.

Good luck finding it locally.

Hi Debbie

I'm no use to use whatever in finding lye, but when I started, over here in

Scotland, I couldn't find it either. Then I discovered it next to the drain

stuff, just called plain old caustic soda. But maybe it's different over there.

Regards

Ann - Scotland
