I live in Florida also - have only been able to find 151 proof *grin* When a recipe calls for vodka as a tincture as 80 proof being the norm ( although this can overkill some herbs or be too weak for a few ) I run to everclear. Vodka is half water/half alcohol. Everclear at 190 proof is pure alcohol. At 151 is 90 proof. They are about the same price for vodka. So pay the same price for pure alcohol, not water and alcohol - and add your own water to the everclear.
