Guest guest
Here in western Pennsylvania the daffs and hyacinths are blooming as are the forsythias.........lots of yellow! I have some short tulips blooming too...........the tall ones are about ready to burst open! It is 80* here today........not normal for April......but I'll take it! Oh, and yesterday was my b-day and the weather was very nice too....unusual as it usually rains or is cold! I think our average daytime temp. should be in the 50's or 60's...... Debbie King come see our new look! www.cottagehillsoaps.com

Guest guest
You're all talking about your daffodils blooming, and mine are just poking their heads up out of the ground ! We're having a very warm autumn down here - the way everything has started growing madly it seems more like spring, except that it's still very warm to hot during the say, with the cooler air at nighttime as a reminder that it's supposed to be toning down the heat for winter ! A lot of the deciduous trees that would normally be changing colour now are still fully clothed in green & I hope there's not a sudden cold snap that takes them all by surprise. I love wandering around the streets here at this time of year to see the gardens in such wonderful warm autumn colours. But most are still green - my Japanese Maple even looks like it's a springtime green !! Temps ? I'm lousy at translating warm or cool into numbers *lol* I think we're hovering around 15 in the morning to around 25, some days nearly up to 30 in the middle of the afternoon ..... they're centigrade temps, of course !!! We're still getting the last of the summer afternoon storms, but they're not at all fierce any more and the nighttime rains are gentler and not long lived as the 'real' summer storms. I love this time of year !! My birthday the other day too, Debbie (happy birthday to you !!) and it was great to have good weather, as I just sat outside & did just about nothing all day except watch the cats and the lizards lie around ;-) Jane in Oz :-)) dking12924 wrote: >Here in western Pennsylvania the daffs and hyacinths are blooming as are the >forsythias.........lots of yellow!
