First thing is getting rid of the post nasal drip. Keep in mind that

dairy helps create mucous ... so if there is a problem with excess

mucous, dairy products are only going to make it worse .. so might wanna

hold off on any dairy for a bit ....

But my favorite thing for soothing a cough and sore throat is garlic honey!

I take a whole head of garlic, peel the cloves and lightly smash them so

they begin to release their " juice " and then put them in a jar, cover

with honey .. and let it sit forever .. replenishing the jar as necessary.

It is great stuff to cook with too!

I understand the little one needing the rest after days of illness ..

I'd be a little worried about that too .. but I'd worry about the

codeine even more ..... maybe if he's still restless tonight a nice

lavender/chamomile bath and some chamomile tea or Celestial Seasonings

Sleepytime tea would help some :) Also body massages are great to help

relax anyone .. especially if they are sick and achy :)

COOL! I took French in junior high ... don't remember much at all except

that the song Allouete is about plucking the feathers off a bird!
