First thing is getting rid of the post nasal drip. Keep in mind that dairy helps create mucous ... so if there is a problem with excess mucous, dairy products are only going to make it worse .. so might wanna hold off on any dairy for a bit .... But my favorite thing for soothing a cough and sore throat is garlic honey! I take a whole head of garlic, peel the cloves and lightly smash them so they begin to release their " juice " and then put them in a jar, cover with honey .. and let it sit forever .. replenishing the jar as necessary. It is great stuff to cook with too! > It would be for my 3½ yr old & myself. We both feel > miserable. I doped him up on codeine so he could sleep tonight. > Hate doing it, but he needs the sleep. I understand the little one needing the rest after days of illness .. I'd be a little worried about that too .. but I'd worry about the codeine even more ..... maybe if he's still restless tonight a nice lavender/chamomile bath and some chamomile tea or Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime tea would help some Also body massages are great to help relax anyone .. especially if they are sick and achy > I will make a run to the > health food store tomorrow if you " oh so knowledgable " folks lead me > to the right things to buy. Check out a product line called Herbs For Kids .. it is VERY good Feel better! Both of you > > > I am off to bask in the tub with Ana's awesome Almond Sesame soap and > some lemon tea.
