Guest guest
Hi y'all, I wanna tell you about a new on-line magazine recently kicked off by Kathleen Petrides. I have no financial interests in this project. Kathleen started this right after the birth of her son .. and lately, the little rascal has had a series of minor infant illnesses that has prevented Kathleen from having the time to get this info out to the world. But instead of telling you a lot about it myself, I'll give you some URLs so you can check it out yourself. Below is but one of the many opinions that have been posted on this mag, and I go along with the opinion of the writer. > Hi Listmates, > If you haven't already, get a subscription to this informative > on-line magazine. Kathleen has done a great job putting this > together. The articles are fascinating and informative. I found > the article " In the Beginning " to have been especially enlightening. > Lynda and Graham did a very informatice article on RDT. All the > authors were great, its free this month so check it out. This is a new idea in a way .. not saying its the first of this type I've ever seen but its the first I've seen that covers a broad-range of subjects that interest a lotta folks and that's not designed to sell products for a particular company. I personally think its a good idea and I think its gonna go a long way for a long time. Future issues will have articles by a host'a folks who are knowledgeable in various areas .. including Valerie Cooksley and Martin Watt - and a few surprises that will make folks smile. The mag will present latest research in certain areas .. like Vitex agnus castus .. which has proven to be a blessing to lots of women; Alzheimers, EOs and pets, Hydrosols, book reviews, etc., etc., etc. as well as the categories of articles you will see below. And submissions from rs will be welcomed. If there's room to squeeze it in, I'm gonna write a few articles myself from time to time .. including one on the Rose Harvest and Distillation in Turkey, the harvest and distillation of some wild aromatic plants in Turkey and likely, some articles on Madagascar and Bulgaria as I intend to travel there this year and I'll shoot photos whilst there .. and I plan to have these articles linked to those photos so folks can foller the bouncin' ball .. ;-p Also, I'll present some of the data that used to be contained in my Oregano Files .. though it'll be in a more orderly manner than those files were. The first two issues of this mag were put on line FREE .. as an intro to what is to come ... and the cost for a one-year subscription for those who wanted to get in on the ground floor for the third issue - the first one to allow entry to rs only, was set at $10 per year - that is, 83 cents per month .. yea, I know .. cheaper'n dirt .. ;-p But that is the intro and it will only continue until 15 APRIL 2002 .. beginning 16 April 2002, subscriptions for one year (12 issues) will go to $18 a year, which in my opinion is still cheaper'n dirt!! If you wanna read the first and second issues (put out free as an intro to the mag .. go to http://www.aromaticsage.com/ A Sneak Preview of the upcoming mag .. which it the first to be limited to rs only, and which will be published in the next 3-4 days will contain: http://www.aromaticsage.com/new.html I have no financial interests in this mag .. I'm not a part-owner nor am I on any kind of commission, etc. I do have professional interest in that I think we've needed something like this for a long time and I believe it will get better and better as time goes on - which is saying a lot cause its purty danged good now .. ;-P Few companies make it to my links page .. and I have no intention of changing my policy on this. You might notice that I am an advertising sponsor for the mag - and that it will soon be one of the very few entries on my links page. This might lead some to think that's why I'm making this post. But they would be wrong to figure it that way. I didn't choose to promote it because I'm a sponsor .. I chose to sponsor because I think it is a good thing for the industry and I think it is going to continue to be well-accepted in the industry. The only criticism I have is that I think Kathleen is charging too little and that unto itself might make some folks think there has to be a catch to it .. her thinking, however, is that subscriptions will continue to increase at an even greater rate than they have already .. which is purty danged good now. Anyway .. if you wanna , twixt now and 15 April it will cost you $10 for a year (12 issues) .. but on 16 April, it goes to $18. To .. go here http://www.smellennium.com/mag9.html Kathleen doesn't take credit cards now but will in a couple of weeks. Y'all keep smiling, Butch http://www.AV-AT.com

It's one of the few " magazines " I to that I can store online for future reference. And to Kathleen, if I was remiss in letting you know how much I enjoy it, please forgive, I'm really busy right at this time. Deonia
