Hiya Chris

Well this does of course refer to shippping within one country!!! but if I post

things in Uk

first I make sure they are a healthy plant, then they've got the best chance

I wrap the roots in kitchen roll and soak it

I then put that part into a polythene bag and try to seal it so the whole parcel

doesn't get wet!

Then, well, it all depends on the size of the plant.

Postal tubes are good for dropping plants down into and will protect the foliage

otherwise use something like corrugated cardboard to protect the plant

and then send it first class post!

Of course, that's something probably peculiar to the UK

First class post means it should be delivered the next day

Second class costs less and takes anything between 2 and 5 days

I certainly would go for 24 or 48 hour delivery for a plant

Gee, ain't I rambling on :)

Am off down south (Cambridge) tomorrow, to see daughter and stay weekend and

then on Tuesday to what could be a real fiiery (that doesn't look right!)

meeting of our aromatherapy association. Here in UK we have three main

associations and we are about to merge into one. There are just a few that want

to upset the applecart (good English saying) and you can bet they'll be there.

Call an extra-ordinary meeting of 1900 people, 60 - 70 - say they they'll come

and most of them want to make trouble. I'm on the Council of this association

but am looking forward to not being, for all the hassle I get.

That of course has nothing at all to do with plants.

On another subject - Janet has all these lovely candles for sale and the

shipping just spoils the whole thing!

One day I'll have to come over there and just travel around, meet all of you,

and collect goodies on all my visits!!!

Seriously I really enjoy this group 'cos it's friendly.

Chris - David (husband) says " wonder if Chris realizes that Scotland is about a

third the size of Colarado? "

Best regards to you all

Ann - Scotland
