Guest guest
Patchouli stays with you almost all day.. Then all I do is put a little on my belly while it is still wet and man oh man my man goes heavy on me! (that means he thinks I smell nice, hehe) today I melted some shea butter added some rose hip seed oil and vanilla absolute and let it harden up..it smells so good..maybe I will use that for a while..but I always go back to the patchouli. ana http://www.anastasiasideas.com shea butter, rhassoul, handmade paper and specials! , " cjw5449 " <cjw@t...> wrote: > Hi, my name is CJ and I live up in rainy Washington state.with my two > teenagers (17 boy and 16 girl) and my Fiance. > Does anyone know of any oils that you can use in the bath, or on your > skin that retain their scent for longer than a couple of hours? > I really like oils like sweet orange and clove(mixed) but they just > don't stay with you > > CJ

Guest guest
Welcome aboard CJ - glad to have you here cjw5449 wrote: > Hi, my name is CJ and I live up in rainy Washington state. I'd LOVE to check out Washington State one day ... I'm a gloomy weather, green landscape kind of person - yet I now live in sunny, dry, Colorado. Sounds like you've got yer hands full there ) > > Does anyone know of any oils that you can use in the bath, or on your > skin that retain their scent for longer than a couple of hours? > I really like oils like sweet orange and clove(mixed) but they just > don't stay with you You'll want to blend them with a base oil Top notes are oils whose scent dissipates fast Middle notes .. the oils scent lasts a bit longer Base notes .. the scent can literally last for days Since you have a patchouli issue you just need to pick another base note oil you like ... some examples are Peruvian Balsam, Sandalwood, even som florals like Rose, Jasmine and Ylang are base notes because of their " scentual " longevity ... Also, diluting your entire blend in a fixed oil (such as Jojoba) will also help greatly, as the fixed oils help keep the volitile oils from dissipating into the atmosphere so quickly Plus, there really is no good reason (yet there are lots of bad reasons) to put undiluted essential oils onto the skin > > > CJ Hope that helps! *Smile* Chris (list mom) Aromatic Easter Baskets Order Now For Easter Delivery http://www.alittleolfactory.com
