Guest guest
Anne, If fasting is a way of detoxifying the body, why wouldn't detoxifying eos help to do this? I would think that it would also be a way of detoxifying the liver, also. I was always taught that fasting is giving the digestive system and many organs of the body, a rest and helps cleanse all systems. Please point me out to the data that says otherwise. I don't like receiving the wrong information. Thanks, Lynn
Guest guest
The headaches and nausea, etc are signs that your liver is overloaded with processing gunk. What is your regular diet like? Body type? In my opinion, the best abd gentlest way to fast is by eating only kitcharee- and there are great recipes in The Ayurvedic cookbook by Amadea Morningstar. Chinese medicine suggests congees, which are similar... and adding specific herbs to the soups helps as well. These are more nourishing to the spleen and gentler on the Liver- and you will se better results in the long run.Fasting on juices and raw foods is best done judiciously and with guidance and constitutional analysis. HTH Michelle I think what Ann meant, is that your liver is already cleaning out so much(hence the side effects)- so by adding EOs, which are solvents that the liver has to process, would not be helpful where you are already in a state of overworked liver. > Anne, > > If fasting is a way of detoxifying the body, > why wouldn't detoxifying eos help to do > this?
