Guest guest
I received this message from another group I read I've done the questionnaire, didn't take long and seems important if we're to stay free. eGroups have been free of charge since its inception. is now considering charging for its e-lists and eGroups and/or drastically limiting the services it makes available to eGroup rs. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to take this survey, especially if you do not want services to be reduced or charges to be levied. If we do not let hear our voices now, decisions by will certainly be made without our input! Therefore, please take a few minutes to complete this survey at: http://promo2./sbin/Groups/survey.cgi Where there is room to type in your comments tell them that you use the archives but will drop your subscription if they start to charge for all but minimal services. This will hurt their bottom line drastically since they depend on lots of people seeing the annoying ads that they flood each page with. If the subscription number drops so will the amount that they can charge for their ad space. I moderate a group so will be doing this but have already looked at it. When you do it have with you the number of messages per month, total number of messages/members etc and other things like that. I suppose the more they get flooded with the more notice they are likely to take. Regards Ann - Scotland
