Guest guest
Hi Kathleen - Here's my opinion. You are starting to publish a magazine. It has a publication schedule just like say People. Could you imagine People giving anyone on the face of this earth that type of power over their publication? You might as well let them decide the articles and content as well. Yes, I'm the evil " It's my business " witch. They should be grateful that you are even allowing them the opportunity to defend their practice in your magazine. Also, is it his royal highness GY that is responding or just some poor follower who if he writes any thing that legal can get them in trouble GY will hang out to dry? My 10 cents worth and know I'll go back to working on my business or making spaghetti sauce from scratch - haven't quite decided my mood. Later. Guest guest
Oh Kathleen, My dear editor My vote (I know, who asked me, but I'm an opinionated big mouth;)) is to NOT hold up publication of this issue for YL, but let them have their rebuttal in the NEXT issue, after this one I personally would not stop the presses and delay my publication for them for even one minute! ;p But that is just me - and everyone knows that I am the Wicked Witch Of The East .. living in the Southwest/Midwest region *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Kathleen Petrides wrote: > Just a quick note to let everyone know that issue two of AFS may be > delayed > by a week. Guest guest
Kathleen, I must agree with Chris here. This is your publication and not theirs. How many YL's have d to you publication? Guest guest
Hi there Kathleen, I agree with Chris. You have a schedule and if they cannot board the dang train on time, tell'em there will be another and another.... IMO, holding anything back for YL is giving them way too much importance and they do not deserve that. This is of course solely my opinion and everyone knows that I am the Wicked K9 Witch :-) Take care, Sevi P.S: Chris, you are not wicked at all :-) --------- http://www.cybercanine.com --------- > My dear editor My vote (I know, who asked me, but I'm an opinionated > big mouth;)) is to NOT hold up publication of this issue for YL, but let > them have their rebuttal in the NEXT issue, after this one I > personally would not stop the presses and delay my publication for them > for even one minute! ;p > But that is just me - and everyone knows that I am the Wicked Witch Of > The East .. living in the Southwest/Midwest region > > *Smile* > Chris (list mom) > http://www.alittleolfactory.com > >
Guest guest
In the interest of being different, just cause I am. I am curious as to why now and why your forum do they choose to defend themselves? There are numerous negative articles posted on YL and I have not once seen them defend themselves. I guess that you can take this controversy as a compliment that they have choosen your magazine and only the first issue - WOW. Admitedly I know little about the publication business and even less about YL, but it seems to me it would only take a written article e-mailed to you to get their side told, and it was only a survey, the readers told their opinions nothing was stated as fact. Have they ever put out any publications to disbute or defend their reputation and why if they choose to do so now would they even need extra time? Must they consult with the Grand Poo-Bah and get their story straight, when someone says something negative about my business & it is on the internet so I do get that believe me I do not need time to get my self together, I can give you come back quick as anything. Don't let it Rain (pun intended) on your parade, your intentions for this magazine were to enlighted and enhance the Aromatherapy community, your magazine is great and I look forward to many more issues. Guest guest
Hey Deonia, Some can say that it takes talent to be a witch, being YL...well it takes something quite different. Let them bring it on. Just bring it on in a timely manner. They would not make it in the *real* world with that " oh, I wanna be in the race, but time out for a sec, cuz I am not ready yet! " Kathleen has a good thing going. They want to write, than they must adhere to deadlines and guidelines. And that is my 2 pinches of rosemary! *Butch's Rosemary it is* Have a super weekend Deonia ) Sevi -------- http://www.cybercanine.com -------- > Well, I know some would also call me a witch,LOL, actually , i'm just an ol > broad with a lot of opinions!
