Guest guest
Hey Chris, all... First, THANKS Chris, I got my Hawaiian sea salt yesterday and also my coconut oil, which I wanted to EAT - no, I didn't.. I was good LOL! For you vanilla lovers and since maybe Chris will do a co-op.........here ya go! ______________ Vanilla Honey 4 ounces raw-uncooked honey, gently heated to the 'just warm' stage 1 clean four ounce glass container 1 vanilla bean ------- Cut the bean up into several pieces. Put them in the jar. Gently heat your honey and then simply pour over the bean pieces. Cap tightly and FORGET about it for a couple weeks - why? Cuz you'll end up eating it.. LOL You can leave it in there aging longer if you'd like. It's great in teas, all kinds of things. For those of you who make cremes or lotions, a little bit of this can be not only great for your skin, but also smells and gives a nice texture - a little goes a long way! Enjoy......... _____________________ Vanilla Bean Infusions ------------- 2-3 vanilla beans (depending on the bottle size) 1, 2 or 4 ounce bottle extra virgin olive oil Take the bean and cut length-wise, and there should be a semi-solid thick gunk-like<?> material inside. If you can scrape it out, great.....that's what you want to add to the olive oil. If you find you can't.. at least the bean is cut in the long way, and just add it to the olive oil. Gently shake daily for a week or so, smell off and on, and watch the color change. (should go from the olive-greenish to almost a golden or even a light brown color) At times, I've taken a piece of cleaned rose quartz and put it at the bottom so it shakes up easier, vanilla tends to settle at the bottom. But, once it's done, you have a nice infusion that can be used in most anything. About that co-op, Chris? ROFL Hugs, Marilyn
Guest guest
Thank you for the great vanilla ideas Marilyn I'm working on the vanilla thing .. I want the reorganization of my workspace to be complete before I offer any co-ops, that way my customers are assured that I can process and ship their orders in a most expedient manner .... BTW - plantains fried in coconut oil are SO tasty *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Marilyn Nicholson wrote: > Hey Chris, all... > > First, THANKS Chris, I got my Hawaiian sea salt yesterday and also my > coconut oil, which I wanted to EAT - no, I didn't..
