Guest guest
And the true cultist mentality comes thru. I will admit my first real intro to Essential Oils was a big YL cult. The group is sponsored by an RN that doesn't even know where body organs and glands are located. When I asked her, where the thymus was, her response was between here pointing to her chin and solar plexus. So glad she was never my nurse and had to put something in the proper place. A recent example of YL as Butch calls it bovine excrement. The Women's Gathering that I'm working on. I told Kathy who is the one who is sponsoring on her property that I would like to do a workshop on aromatherapy and essential oils (this came after being at a craft show and seeing vendors selling EO of musk, mango and strawberry). I figured I could teach someone something if nothing else what to watch out for. So Kathy tells me to get with 2 of the other ladies in the group. I casually know one and have never met the other. So I contact the one I know by email and said I wondered what they were doing and Kathy said to get together. I asked them where they were getting their oils. I get the dread email with the words Young Living in it. Please note Kathy is heavily against MLM and didn't know what they were into. Before I could even say anything to one the other already told her I would try to turn her against YL and Dr. Young. Unfortunately, Kathy stayed with the one lady and the two of them ragged on her all night. I never even when any further than the initial inquiry. At the next meeting, when I told Kathy that I couldn't work with them, because that was the problem eo company I came to her about when I first met her, she told me what they had done. Which made me feel horrible as I love Kathy and she is such a giving and caring person. This is just one of the many insights into their thinking. One thing haven't seen anyone else bring up either is the Young has never had an original thought in all his works and teachings. He takes things from various disciplines and methods and calls them his own. So maybe somewhere there is a safe way to do RDT. The concept of the awaking the spine and the gentle strokes along the spine are interesting. Please note oils are not neat. This combined with a light massage could be wonderful. Note - I can't imagine even curing scoliosis in one treatment which makes me thing of the Goldie Hawn/Meryl Streep Death Becomes Her and them rebuilding. When I took a course in anatomy and physiology and they were talking about the nerves coming from the spine, it clicked where GY got that " brilliant and just his " theory. The other thing to remember is that when the receivers of RDT get it, if they have a reaction they are told it is the toxins and viruses coming out of their systems just as they're supposed to. One is almost lead to believe if you don't have a reaction that it's not working. And this one so=holuld really get you all in an uproar. The RN in question that is running ads in local health paper is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield provider for this remarkable techique and a car insurance compnay is paying claims for an accident victim, becasue they convinced a phycologist how wonderful and beneficial the treatment was. YL was going to save the world. He discusses using eo on the foot, hand and ears in relation to reflexalogy points. Note credit is never given to this art. I was actually told by the same RM that Salvatore Battaglia didn't know what he was talking about in his book The Complete Guide to Aromatherapy. Well, digust that or spit it up. Talk to you all later. Patty Corapi finally got some stuff on website LOL www.enterpriseofdreams.com
Guest guest
Hi all Well, It seems that the list that is encouraging people to go vote FOR RDT is considering it as their own personal Forum. The following comments were sent to me today: " Actually, I think it's working to our advantage at this point. I just voted, and we're in the lead, by far! I used the link below (you'll probably have to cut and paste it) and got right in to the home page. So get on there and vote! " Obviously they have completely missed the idea of the poll. Some of them are obviously thin-skinned as well. Personally I find the following rather disturbing- It really resonates in my mind of cult mentality: " Hello all, This attack on Dr. Young really offends me: The very IDEA of someone dropping pure essential oils on your skin is enough to make me sick! Especially when the people are UNtrained, their " leader " has a fake or bought-on-the-web diploma, and basically anyone that wishes to operate or participate in a pyramid scheme, can join! - Marilyn ** They do not know him, and have no right to pass judgement. YLEO a pyramid, NOT! Please everyone, vote and leave comments. http://www.smellennium.com/Mag.html " So. I 'm beginning to think that the best thing to do is to just take down the poll. It's obviously tainted data now, and except for the comments, completely unusable. What I don't understand is how a simple poll turned into an attack on YL and an endangerment to their beloved Therapy... Cheers! That organization is a group of sick puppies with some real issues in life! I say folks who are in the know about YL and damaged by YL's suggestions and products should start going to the mainstream media with it! I'd think that'd be a better way to get results than going to the FDA or getting folks at NAHA to say boo about it. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com >

Guest guest
hey Chris, Well, If you look at the comments that these devout YLers are coming out with, they are just shooting themselves in the foot. One has been using oils on their kids since they were two, another uses them on her 6 year old, they insist on calling HIM DR, their oils are ingested neat, applied neat, they are bastardizing the french technique of using oils, saying that the french do it this way or that way, but no one is saying how that in France E.O.'s are only prescribed by doctors etc. They really ARE digging their own grave. Which is the only reason I haven't taken the poll down yet. How deep are they willing to dig themselves in? Cheers! Guest guest
Way ahead of you Marilyn :-). Too bad the YLers won't be able to see the results of their poll, not one of them has subcribed, so the poor suckers won't know the results of all their hard work! LOL Cheers! Oh I can explain that one easy enough. That's how cult mentality works. :-) -- Sandy
