Guest guest
Hi all, I have an herbal question. I was out pruning my roses and deadweeding my flowerbed and I noticed that the feverfew has taken over. Is there any use I can put this overabundance of the plant to use? Do I use the leaves, roots, or flowers? What is it used for? If it has a good use for me, I'll leave it, otherwise, I'll be pulling up most of it, it seems to take over like a weed. TIA Michele, who has gardening fever already!
Guest guest
Hi Michele, Feverfew is great for headaches and migraines. I am not sure how it tastes, but I suppose you could make a tea of it when you have a headache and try it. I can only remember seeing capsules of it. Guest guest
It is also useful for combatting the pain of oesteoarthritis. I reccommended to my mother. It now grows like a weed in her garden and she refuses to eat it. says it tastes bitter and nasty. she uses the leaves in flower arrangments and says bad things about me every time she pulls out a new clump! ROFLMAO!!! Cheers! Kathleen Petrides Editor: AFS - " Debra McDuffee " <deb Monday, February 11, 2002 5:50 AM Re: Feverfew Question > Hi Michele, > Feverfew is great for headaches and migraines. Guest guest
Just chewing a fresh leaf is good, but don't take too much. You can get it in capsules Regards Ann- Scotland * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Get your free @ecosse.net account http://www.ecosse.net Scotland's Free Internet Service Provider * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
