Guest guest
Hello, I seem to have a abundance of citronella, which is funny because I don't think I ever purchased any, it is always a freebee. Anyway does anyone have any uses for this, I can't stand the smell of it but I don't want to waste it. Also I still need Vanilla if anyone can direct me to a good source, I realize it will be expensive so I will purchase the smallest amount available. Thank-you emryldgea
Guest guest
Hi emryldgea, Citronella's great for bug-season Have you tried it as a bug repellent - inside or out? (we've got lotsa bugs here, <Florida!> big ones) and so we always have it onhand. That and lemongrass--when we go out to do yardwork, we put a drop or two on our clothes (old working clothes) and the mosquitoes stay clear of us......lol I'm wondering if I can " grow " the grasses! Which vanilla were you interested in, the absolute or the oleo-resin-- both are liquids, the oleo-resin comes before the absolute.........and it's thicker, though they're both thick. And both smell good ......... Guest guest
" emryldgea " <theimage@w...> Sat Feb 9, 2002 8:16 am Citronella & vanilla not a EO Also I still need Vanilla if anyone can direct me to a good source, I realize it will be expensive so I will purchase the smallest amount available. Thank-you emryldgea Hi Emryldgea, Brambleberry has vanilla fragrant oils. I use the non-discoloring one and am very pleased with it. www.brambleberry.com Also From Nature With Love has vanilla essential oil and fragrant oils. I've bought eo's and other supplies from them in the past but haven't tried their vanilla. I notice the have regular vanilla, vanilla musk and a vanilla pear. May have to try them out. www.soapcrafting.com I have been very satisfied with the service and quality of products from both companies. HTH, Carol doggone May today there be peace within you. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
