Guest guest
I couldn't have complimented him any more graciously and truthfully than you have, Butch!! He is a magnificent man in every sense. We, and he world, are fortunate to have him at the helm of this great country. Helen Long in FL - Butch Owen Wednesday, January 30, 2002 8:17 AM OT: State of the Nation Hi y'all, I just finished watching our President deliver a magnificent State of the Nation address. His first statement was that the nation is at war, the nation is in a recession and the free world is in danger due to those who wish to cause harm .. but the state of the nation had never been better. In over 45 minutes, not once did he look at a note .. and the flow of his messages was no less than perfect. He was caring, dynamic, sincere and convincing. He believed what he was saying and he made me believe what he was saying. I'm not going to stay up to hear the reviews of his talk .. but I'm sure it will go down as being one of the finest ever delivered by a president of the United States of America. George Bush was magnificent tonight and I was proud to be an American - and proud of my President. Y'all keep smiling, Butch
Guest guest
I totally agree, he made us all proud tonight. They say that his approval is up in the low 80%, and may go up do to the speech tonight. I too am proud to be an American, and proud of our President. Guest guest
You would think they would give us a bit of respite from that man! It was all over everywhere here, on every local channel and all the news channels. I watched it for a bit, but I can't stand the sight of that man very long. But as they say, nothing like a war to buck up moral through a recession.
