Guest guest
I've been getting headaches lately and would like to make an EO blend for one of those 10 ml roll-on bottles. I've scanned my books and files, and while I get ideas of what to use, they're all very general: " Peppermint and lavender works! " or " Anise and peppermint works best for me! " One of my books lists the following eos for headaches: lavender, balm, neroli, ginger, marjoram, rose, clary, basil, ylang-ylang, yarrow. Rather daunting for a beginner to figure out, lol. Does anyone have an specific suggestions for, say, 10 ml? What about the anise and peppermint suggestion? does that have any basis for recommendation? gratefully, Jenny
Guest guest
Jenny, I have massive headaches often. I can tell you anise makes me " hurl earl!!! " Lavender and spearmint is ok. Plain lavender Eo massaged into the temples works well. For a boo-boo bag, much like the one's Chris sells, I spritz water with Lavender, Spearmint and a tiny bit of Euc on it. The microwave releases it well. HTH, Jan S www.sweetprairiesoap.com soap & sundries wholesale/retail Collapsible Soap Molds in 2 sizes. jans --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
Oh you're right! Sorry, I had a headache when I wrote last night and didn't think of giving the necessary info. Actually, it's a couple of headaches... one's behind my eye, one's by my temple and the other's in back of my head behind my ear. Sound like a mess, don't I? lol I know one's a caffeine headache from trying to cut back, and another might be from too much computer work, but they've all been pretty much more or less constant, off and on. Thanks, Jenny - What kind of headache are you having.. is it over one eye, right on the top of your forehead, do you get them at specific times.. any info will help .... take care Marilyn
Guest guest
Hi Jenny, I'll tell you what usually works for me .. I use several different blends but my all time favorite for just about all my headaches and migraines is equal parts of lavender and basil. For your 10 ml roll on, I would fill it with your carrier oil, frac. coconut is a good choice, and add 10 drops of the EO blend for a therapeutic blend. I prefer to put it in a 15ml dropper bottle and I rub it on the back of my neck, temples, forehead, behind the ears, on the wrists and then of course I use the same blend in a diffuser and also in a bath if I can. Sometimes I just have to go to bed but I always wake up without the headache when I use lavender/basil. Good luck with your headaches. ~*Simone*~ FLUTTERBYE Aromatics ~ Aromatherapy for people and pets ~ Please visit my website! www.flutterbyearomatics.com email me at: simone *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* I've been getting headaches lately and would like to make an EO blend for one of those 10 ml roll-on bottles.....gratefully, Jenny
