Guest guest
Hello, No one I know is allergic to nuts, but has anyone experienced a reaction to almond , walnut or any other nut oil , should these kinds of blends be labeled with some sort of caution- just the weird things that pop in my head. Thanks Emryldgea
Guest guest
Hi Emryldgea All, > Hello, > No one I know is allergic to nuts, but has anyone experienced a > reaction to almond , walnut or any other nut oil , should these > kinds of blends be labeled with some sort of caution- I don't put specifically caution labels on products I have with nut oils, but I do list all the ingredients so anybody who may be looking to avoid something doesn't get a surprise .. also if I were to consider a warning about nut ingredients I would consider doing that with peanut containing items (such as an extra label that says something like " this item contains peanuts " ) since that is the BIG nut allergy out there (although technically peanuts aren't nuts anyway ) Oh, and I did have a friend whose little one has a nut allergy, and she used a diaper cream with almond oil in it (Weleda) without first checking the ingredients and the child had no adverse reaction to that item, but I did suggest to her in the future she might want to stay away from nut oils too, or at least carefully monitor for any reactions .. > just the weird > things that pop in my head. Guest guest
I was selling my products at an expo show recently and offered a sample of my Mango Body Butter to a gal. She first wanted to see the ingredients because she was allergic to nuts. She couldn't use anything with any kind of nut oils. No coconut, almond, hazelnut etc.. I think most people with these type allergies automatically read ingredient labels. Didn't sound weird to me.... Guest guest
Hi! First off, you're not out of the loop. lol, I'm just too lazy to type it out! Second, you're so right about the nut allergies - they're common. And while some people know to check ingredients, others seem to think that it'll only be IF they eat them.......which is when you can run into a problem, or they can. I've a couple cousins who have nut allergies and they're really bad ones, hospital-time bad. Me - I'm allergic to hot peppers, weird.......and how do you find out? The usual way, by either eating them, or in my case, I was helping chop up a few different varieties for hot chili and all of a sudden everyone was looking at me and I was all red, wayyyyyyyy swollen and then having trouble breathing! I don't do that anymore Hugs, Marilyn PS - <thinking here.. > OK! IMO - In My Opinion IMHO - In My Humble Opinion BRB - in case you're in a chatroom is Be Right Back Oh and one someone on here just told me.. DH is either Dear Husband or Da*n Husband (depending on the day, I guess?) there are more.. heck, I could use one for my first name, it's too long!!!!!!
