Guest guest
Ann- Sears catalog when I was growing up was about 1,000 pages thick, so it seemed. They sold everything from houses, which where shipped in pieces to work clothes and toys. It was the Christmas wish book before designer labels. In the hills, where no one had running water or electricity the catalog often in winter mid Jan to mid Feb became the privy paper. No joke. That cause the new Spring catalog came out mid Feb. Yes I have missed you being inquisitive, of late. Well send me good thoughts I am on my way to the station to pick up the dreaded " teenagers " for a long weekend. Oh maybe time for a cocktail and let someone else drive. hmmm I like that idea better Janet >Oh dear! I don't think I dare ask one of my 'what's that' questions!!! >but you must have missed me being so inquisitive of late! >Regadrs >Ann - Scotland > > It could replace the Sears catalog in the out house. > > Really showing my age there. > > > >
Guest guest
I had a feeling it would be used in the privy! When I was little, during WW2 (Oh dear, giving my age away again) we used to have to use newspaper, torn into squares and hung on a hook! and at school if we raised our hand and asked to go, we were always asked if we needed paper or not! Can you imagine the kids nowadays coping with that, and print on their bottoms to boot - you could try it on your weekend teenages I suppose enjoy your weekend! especially the cocktails! I'm just off to bed and then teaching tomorrow. I wonder if they really want to know all about 'Marketing and Business Skills in Aromatherapy' and Giving Talks and Teaching - with confidence' Oh well, something to while away the weekend!
