Guest guest
Hey all- I just put up a liniment and I thought I d share it with you... It is based on a Chinese recipe called " Dit Dat Jao " - used for martial arts injuries... It is a good thing to have around for bruises, sprains, strains, arthritis pain, etc- and in my case- to keep good circulation in my pregnant legs. 2 oz cinnamon powder 2 oz valerian root 3 oz angelica root 3 oz comfrey root 1 oz calendula flowers 1/2 teaspoon cayenne place in a glass jar and cover with vodka or everclear, steep 2-6 weeks, strain press, and enjoy You can add EOs at this time- store in a cool dark place... michelle
Guest guest
Thanks for the recipe Michelle. Wish I had some made up and ready to use now. I was in an auto accident on Saturday. Rolled my car, totaled it. ( Two of my kids were with me and we are all ok, but we sure have some sore muscles from the seat belts. Thank god we were wearing them, though. Will have to make up some of the liniment to have on hand. Guest guest
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooh Linda I am so sorry- and I am glad you are okay If you have a natural foods store nearby, they should carry a liniment called " Zheng gu shui " which will help immensely. Also, take your arnica! Homeopathic is great- I like the tincture- 3-10 drops in water 2-3 x a day... feel better, Michelle > > > >
Guest guest
Michelle, Thanks for the recommendations. Will have to make a run to the health food store, when a get a car, that is. The accident could have been so much worse. We were on a gravel road, rounded a curve at the top of a steep hill, lost control in the loose gravel, couldn't get it corrected(I learned to drive on a rear wheel drive and can't get used to front wheel drives), went sideways into a VERY steep ditch and overturned. We crawled out broken windows in the backseat. Thank god I am not any bigger than I already am or I couldn't have gotten out! Guest guest
Hi Michelle, Got two questions for you.. On that recipe, is there something other than cayenne I could use? I'm allergic to all the hot stuff. Look like a big air balloon if i use anything with them in it, and have trouble breathing too... Other question, what strength<?>, I guess would be the term of cinnamon powder are you using. I have it in 2% oil content, 3%, 3.5% and also just got some with a 5% oil ............just wondering. Thanks for any info you have and even in you don't!
