Guest guest
Hello all, I am working on a project that needs to prove there are jobs or opportunities out there after graduating from a TCM program. I would really appreciate if anybody forwards me the web links to such job postings, especially Canadian job postings. Thank you and best regards, Mort

Hi Mort! I know this doesn't help, but the best information out there is that compared to the (over?) supply of TCM graduates there are essentially *no* jobs or opportunities in TCM. Open your own office. A few years ago there was some activity in drug detox but this requires an additional certification and comes and goes with the economy. I work full time in private security and keep a small office to see my patients by appointment. Regards, Pete
Guest guest
Yes, Pete. I worked in the no-fault clinics last year in the New York City area, but a lot of them closed down after a large insurance billing scandal. They were paying new LAcs about $25-30/hour for a 10-hour day for 3-5 days/week. After this, many LAcs had to start their own offices, or move out to the 'burbs. No-fault clinics? I have not heard this terminology, what are no-fault clinics? Regards, Pete
Guest guest
No-fault clinics are these mini hospitals, set up mainly in urban areas in the NE US, where certain states' insurance laws let people seek a large number of medical treatments after an auto accident. NY State has very liberal no-fault (personal injury protection) laws. You get into an accident, and you are referred to a store front on a busy street, and you receive chiro, acup, and medical treatments, all in the same visit, while you lie upon a small treatment bench, usu. separated by curtains from the 10-20 other beds in the same room. Insurance pays for all of this, and this set up paid NY LAcs very well in their heyday- the early 90's, when a LAc could make $45-50/hour for a 50-hour week working in these places. They fell into disrepute when certain groups, like the supposed " Russian mob, " faked many accidents in order to bill $$$$$$$ like crazy.
