Guest guest
Hi folks, a question about patient programming. I have come to the point where I need to expand the practice, but efficiency is really what is needed with patient bookings. I would really welcome some ideas from all of you, experienced and inexperienced, about bookings, ie. do you book every every 15, 30, 45, 60 minutes, and then when you have various people in at the same time, what methods do you use to keep track on how long they have been in? I have been looking at sand timers, but would love to have your ideas first. Thanks very much everyone for this input. Best wishes Sharon Nilsson Centro Europeo de Medicina Holística S.L. Lic. I used an electronic kitchen timer clipped to the treatment room door. This was a standard practice in the clinic, it was in use long before I got there. Now that I have my own clinic I don't need a timer, a calender will do since I seldom have more than one patient a day. Other than that, I do max two patients at one time and keep a third room free for " suprise! " patients. Once you're into it long enough, I don't think you'll so much keep an eye on the time so much as when the treatment IS over, as decided by thepatient's S & S. Also, I find that for me a treatment is maximum 1 hour and a half, so I keep that in mind so I don't run late. I guess what I'm saying is I don't use timers and just try to keep my energy up so I that my mental / memory stuff is upt o scratch. And remember, if you don't use it, youlsoe it!
