Guest guest
Hi all Taken from: http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/uknews/news20041004.shtml#1 Scientists have discovered that a bacteria - Mycobacterium avium subspecies paratuberculosis (MAP) - usually only found dairy cattle is present in at least five per cent of milk sold. MAP has also been found in the gut of humans suffering from Crohn's disease. The Government is facing legal action from more than 100 sufferers of the disease claiming that action should have been taken at least 10 years ago when ministers were alerted to the presence of the bacteria in Crohn's sufferers. A Food Standards Agency spokesman has said that measures were being taken to prevent MAP entering the milk supply. Attilio
