For an informative perspective on the topic of RCT methodology and bias,

and, at least in terms of motivation, related to our field, see:

541-549.

 

Unfortunately, the text of this article doesn't seem to be available on the

internet, though many other articles by Ted along similar lines are. A

google search should bring up a lot. I picked-up a copy from an exhibition

booth at a CSOMA (Calif. Society for Orient.Med & Acupuncture) conference

some years ago - it may have been the Kan Herbs booth.
