Guest guest
For an informative perspective on the topic of RCT methodology and bias, and, at least in terms of motivation, related to our field, see: Kaptchuk Ted J. " The double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial: Gold standard or golden calf? " . Journal of Clinical Epidemiology 54 (2001) 541-549. Unfortunately, the text of this article doesn't seem to be available on the internet, though many other articles by Ted along similar lines are. A google search should bring up a lot. I picked-up a copy from an exhibition booth at a CSOMA (Calif. Society for Orient.Med & Acupuncture) conference some years ago - it may have been the Kan Herbs booth.
