Harmony and Balance

This is the first time I have posted to the group. For the most part, I

merely read and try to learn since I am hoping to enter a Five Elements

school in April.

Since I am not a practitioner at this time, it is not appropriate for me to

comment on diagnoses or treatment modalities.

As a student of meditation, however, I would like to say that the forum is

not currently demonstrating harmony and balance - two essentials for health

of the mind, body, and spirit. In his Four Agreements, Don Miquel Ruiz

includes the following:

" Don't Take Anything Personally. Nothing others do is because of [us].

What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own

dream. When [we] are immune to the opinions of others, [we] won't be the

victims of needless suffering. "

H Patrick,

I also enjoyed the book " Four Agreements " . Very compact and made lots

of basic sense. I guess harmonization and balance comes from " openess "

(achieving that " natural " harmony and balance). But it is not easy

maintaining " openess " with the way the Mind and Body manifests

themselves. Open and Close and Open and Close - just like the " gates "

to the Heart. A lifelong issue. :-)

Hi Patrick,

I don't think a lot of contributors in this list take any issue

personally. They may have strong opinions and sound serious most of

time. But, it is only natural in a TCM forum to be critical

of " ideas " and to question the source of any medical concepts. The

medical profession concerns life and death of people. So, a precise

approach is required. Therefore, the forum may be perceived to be in

imbalance :-)

Thanks
