Prenatal Diagnostics

These are very interesting thoughts. Alligators sense the ratio of males to

females in their environment, and in response, raise or lower nest temperature

to develop the eggs into males or females. CM (or ancient CM from diverse

sources) has a detailed body of prenatal to-do's and taboos, spelling out month

by month what encourages what characteristics, and conversely what damages which

channels. For me this is a starting point for investigation, rather than

re-inventing the wheel. However, minds such as yours Homi, may easily find

other connections to enlarge this field.

The 'red and black', I refered to as damaging in the 3rd month of pregnancy

and later, have to do with, I think, over-joy and over-stimulation that may

injure the 'heart' of the fetus (red), and shock or fear or dread that comes

from close association with death/funerals/horrible suffering that damages the

kidney (black).

The channels, independant yuan qi sources, and 5-elements and organs are just

forming in the golden chamber fetal cosmic qi field, I'm not sure how definitive

the adult diagnostics would relate. Some for sure tho, I guess.

Often one sees severe symptomology which can be traced to birth. Cases in

point:

1. Early onset asthma, respiratory tract allergies, chronic persistent

constipation - LU.

2. Food or ingestant allergies, intolerance to mother's milk, flow-through

diarrhea - ST

3. Malformed long bones, pes planus, scoliosis, phobic child afraid of

dark - K.

Obviously, when symptoms present at or just after birth in the early years,

one wonders

at the role of a maternal system which was itself ill deficient and unable

to pass on

wholesome creative qi.

In which case the conditions would have:

For 1 - a mother who smoked cigarettes or worse.

For 2 - a mother who was anorexic, or obese, or had a seriously impaired

Yangming.

For 3 - a mother with a depressed Water qi, herself phobic and Cold.

Question:

If one treats the inherited system per se, would that be enough?

If the ill elements were really the result of a Ko aggression, what would

one treat?

Let me assemble my thoughts, this is getting hairy:

By Ko cycle involvement:

Condition at 1 would be the result of a Deficient maternal HT qi.

Condition at 2 would be the result of a Stagnant maternal LV qi.

Condition at 3 would be the result of a Deficient maternal SP qi.

In which case what would treat?

I am unsure at the validity of this line of thinking. How far back does one

go in diagnosing

elemental etiology?

If one must reach farther back and does not, is one shortchanging the

patient?
