Guest guest
Hola Kayte, I just found this sitting in my draft mail box. Sorry i thought I'd sent it out already. I hope this is of some use. Remember please that I come from a lineage Dieh Dah tradition so my treatments reflect this, but, they do get results. Kayte, The basic principles that I follow are to nourish the Kidney Yang (adrenals)and Yin, strengthen the Center, Build the Ch'i and move Stagnation of Ch'i and blood. I treat on a daily basis for 3 courses of 10 days then every other day for three weeks followed by twice a week for 8 weeks if it is a recent injury and every other day for three weeks followed by twice a week for 8 weeks for older injuries. points; First disperse these LI4, Liv3, TuMai 14,B60, plus ah shi TuMai points from just above to just below th injury, Hua To Jia Jie throughout the region of the injury Method; Strong stimulation or Milli amp electro stim with a sawtooth wave with 28 or 30 guage needles Neutral needling @ SJ5,G41,SI3, B62 Then Tonify selected points among these; Ren 4, Ren 6, Ren 17, B17, B18, B23, B20, L7, K6, K27, Sp6,TuMai 16 Method; 36 -40 guage needles with a minimum of stimulation (other than Ch'i Kung) Ear points; Kidneys, Lung, Shen Men, Sympathetic, Spinal points, Adrenals points for the affected areas / functions Scalp Points; Motor, Sensory, Szu Shen Tsong, TuMai20 plus points for the affected areas / functions Method; threading I also use Light Therapy on selected Scalp and Spinal Column points . Best result is soon after the injury (luckily there are Neurologists that refer from the ER to my clinic) but have had results in terms of pain, spasticity, extension of sensation and mobility even several years after an injury and even with all of the meds the Pt are on. Appropriate herbals are also important to treatment outcome. I hope that some of this is useful to you.
