Guest guest
Hello, What is the general opinion of those here about the benefits of antioxidants in the body? I came across a technology the other day called a Biophotonic Scanner that was invented at one of the top research Universities in the U.S. I uses laser light to sign in the palm of your hand to give you a score of how many antioxidants are in your tissue. I did it and it took 3 minutes and my score was 41,000 which they say it pretty high. Your thoughts? RH
Guest guest
When I saw it a few years ago, it was part of a multi-level marketing scheme where you would sell their " customized " supplements based on the scanner's score. I was unimpressed. There's no real research to back up the device, or even the meaning of the score. It's a whole lot cheaper to get the patient eating right and supplement with antioxidants if they fall into a special need category. The other option, which I prefer, is to take a blood sample and get a Functional Intracellular Analysis done. There's still no research on what the score may relate to in terms of health, but at least you are getting a more reliable baseline. Avery L.
