Guest guest
Hi all, Taken from: http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/uknews/news20040903.shtml#3 The Financial Times reports on the new hope in Aids prevention which lies in a group of products known as microbicides - vaginal gels and creams that women can apply before sex to block potential infections. Researchers are currently testing a number of products. A professor at the University of Melbourne believes that lemon juice could hold the key to products for men - claiming that lemon juice killed the HIV virus in a test tube. The Financial Times also looks at growing evidence that circumcision may protect heterosexual men from HIV, however the promotion of this theory remains controversial.
