I think that practitioners who wish to develop this type of sensitivity should begin practicing qigong, taiji (e.g., Push Hands, forms training), early in their career. I am referring to taiji and qigong that is practiced in a way to develop greater " sensing capabilities " . I think that with good practice, sensing capabilities can be developed within a reasonably short time - and one can gradually increase their own skills in finding points and using these points as the practitioner sees fit. Unforunately, these " energy arts " are given only a passing glance in most schools but may be the most useful skills as one progresses in their life.
