Blind Needling

Since i sometimes do this type of *blind needling* here is my.02

 

Firstly i will not teach this or advocate it to students or most practitioners

it is too dangerous

 

Secondly it is safe only if you have come to a place where the tip of your

needle is nothing more than an extension of the tip of your finger and you are

able to feel - truly- without self engrandizement truly - feel- De Ch'i in all

of it's subtleties. In this case it is no longer blind needling since you can

see anything that is in front of your needle.

 

I am not as able or as educated in the Theories of or the use

of Formulae as many of our colleagues (Z'ev, Donn Hayes, Michael Broffman etc)

since my teachers did not emphasize these studies. What they did give me was a

very strong study of feeling the energies of living beings on a level that is

not really taught in schools. I often here practitioners claim to see or feel De

Ch'i in this w ay only to find that most are not in fact able to perform in a

way that is in tune with these claims. It seems to me as if they are playing a

new age game of Shamanism or some such.

 

IMHO this type of technique requires a one on one with a Sifu type of decades

long practice of the art of feeling the De Ch'i.
