As a matter of fact, about 3 weeks after her last angioplasty, she went to bed one evening " feeling that her legs were blocking up again " and woke with them completely clear. She attributes this success solely to the nattokinase which she has been taking. This is interesting. Are you saying that she had an angioplasty in her leg, then 3 weeks later felt that closing up, then after taking Nattokinase in the evening she woke up felling the leg had cleared? Then 3 weeks later after being checked by her Dr., they found she was free of plaque buildup in her leg? I had read about Nattokinase lately and it would be nice if there was some experience of it working this well. Thanks, Chris
Guest guest
Hi all I recently discharged and was unable to help a woman with severe athrosclerosis in her legs and aorta for which she had dacon sleeves put in and 13 (to date) angioplasties. She was on several supplements and drugs and wasn't too interested in making CM teas so I had just treated her with acu for 2 years. I saw her in the bank yesterday and she was excited to tell me that after her last angioplasty (and 6 weeks into nattokinase supplementation) she was completely clear of blockage. As a matter of fact, about 3 weeks after her last angioplasty, she went to bed one evening " feeling that her legs were blocking up again " and woke with them completely clear. She attributes this success solely to the nattokinase which she has been taking. Does anyone else have any experience using natto or nattokinase with similar results? I found a website on the subject http://www.jafra.gr.jp/natto-e.html for further info on it. They compare it to earthworm kinases and urine kinases. Just thought it was interesting and perhaps a suggestion we could make to blood stasis patients and high blood pressure patients for food supplementation/healing. Thanks, Shanna
Guest guest
I'm not aware of any mechanism in nattokinase that would " clear blockage " thin blood yes ,but that is a far cry from clearing blockages which have a complex pathology. I have replaced heparin and other blood thinners with nattokinase. But follow up imaging show no change in vascular disease. In my experience. - <Musiclear <Chinese Medicine > Thursday, August 05, 2004 5:10 PM Re: nattokinase--powerful fibrinolytic > In a message dated 8/5/2004 3:54:33 PM Eastern Daylight Time, > shannahickle writes: > I saw her in the bank > yesterday and she was excited to tell me that after her last > angioplasty (and 6 weeks into nattokinase supplementation) she was > completely clear of blockage. Guest guest
Hi Chris No. Sorry I wasn't completely clear. This is why I'm asking if anyone else has any anecdotal evidence. She claimed beginning natto 3 weeks before 13th angioplasty, had angioplasty, then 3 weeks later (her usual time to reblock) she experienced symptoms before going to bed. When she awoke, the blockage feelings were gone. That's 6 weeks of natto, 3 weeks post angioplasty symptom appearance and disappearance within 24 hours. It has been about 5 more weeks since the symptom episode and still all clear. This is most unusual for her as I said since she always reblocked 3 weeks into recovery. She, of course, is convinced the natto is keeping her clear. It could definitely have been just that her 13th angioplasty is finally successful. I imagine time will tell us even more. But so far, so good. Do you know if there are any definitive blood screens etc. that would tell us of major measurable changes/success in her blood? She's on the same meds as before (coumadin, ACE inhibitor). Her last doppler at follow up was clear (I'm not sure what week into treatment/postangio that was). I'll keep everyone posted as to her progress. I think this is interesting indeed, however. Especially since the website I visited compared the kinases in natto to earthworm and urine kinases which are both taken from TCM materia medica. Comments? Guest guest
Hi Dr. Martin Thanks for your input. However, the patient had just had an angioplasty for her " blockage " problem. The difference is that with natto use, she has not significantly and lastingly reblocked beyond the usual time in which she has relapsed in her past 12 angioplasties. I'm wondering if naato is superior to heparin/coumadin/warfarin in this respect as she has always taken these with no post-op change in relapse. Have you any anecdotal evidence which could be considered similar? She is no longer under my care but another question would be should I contact her about mixing coumadin and natto? Her doctor obviously doesn't know about her natto use, or doesn't realize that it may be " doubling " the blood thinner she is already on. Should she be alerted?
