Are they good enough for medical > translations? Not really... Babel fish will pretty much ruin any medical translation. But wenlin is a great tool! it is not a translator, it is really a dictionary. One must still pick the correct definition and make sense of the grammar. Understanding the grammar, IMO is the key, so that one can pick the correct definition. Over a year ago I set up a website for beginners to start using these tools to translate CM texts. You can check it out http://Chinese Medicine/1translationHP.htm - It will help one set up a pc for Chinese and give some basics for wenlin.
