What a great request. If we don't support the smaller guys, then all

there will be are big guys.

I know of people who shop at Walmart then complain about the power the

corporations have.

I know others who complain about the rainforest being cut down then

install hard wood floors in their houses. It surprises me that people don't

seem

to get how simple the conection is.

How and where individuals spend money determines in large what happens in

the world.

Just a thought,

Chris

All,

As a businessman engaged in support of Chinese medicine in America, I've got

to second the motion by Robert Hayden. Amazon, " the big box " company, should

only be used as a last resort for buying anything ... as one would use

Walmart. Support the various mom-and-pops in our industry. After all, you all

(every one of you) are the little guys in the healthcare industry. Buy your

books

from www.redwingbooks.com. Amazon is not going to publish your book, should

you have one, nor your teacher's book. Bob Felt's Redwing Book Store is what

actually supports Paradigm Press which in fact publishes the books of quite a

number of people. Keep Paradigm Press printing our favorite books by buying

any Oriental medicine books at Redwing Books. For the record ... I don't make

a dime from saying this ... I sell herbs and teach Western sciences. So take

it as a public service announcement on behalf of our little niche industry.

In gratitude,

Unless you're really hurting for the extra twenty bucks, please support one

of our

profession's valuable resources and buy it from Redwing rather than Amazon if

you're

thinking of getting it. I have no financial interest, just feel the need to

mention this.

I find that Amazon is *great* for helping me browse around and find books of

interest. Then I write down the ISBN and call up the bookstore around the

corner and they get the book for me. I haven't actually bought anything from

Amazon for five years, but I've had a great time in the cyberstacks...
