We are looking at two separate issues in these posts. Medical error

deaths and deaths from drugs prescribed and taken properly. Add up the figures.

Holy smokes that is a lot of death. Some of it is a result of the huge number

of cases that are seen by DR.s. I can understand that. Some of it is due to

the fact that some of the deaths were from cases that were probably going to

die anyway, or they were in a weakened state. I can understand that also.

People are going to die. Problem is that our society is geared towards

giving people false hopes of treating chronic health issues with new drugs

rather than educating people about how to stay healthy.

When people go for western treatment, the treatment is drug related. No

alternative options are typically offered. If they are, it is in addition to

the drug. Unfortunatly, if alternatives are offered without drugs, and there is

a problem, the Dr. can lose his shirt.

Example, heart disease is the number one killer. What do the western guys

do? Statins, bypass, stints. Years before blockages become and issue, what

should happen? Stains to protect against cholesterol with negative effects?

How about fish oils, CoQ 10, mineral ascorbates, proline, lysine? Not only

would this approach protect from a series of others diseases that may have shown

up later in life, but it will take care of the heart issue as well.

Why not have the government officials recommend the natural approach

first? It works, and prevents disease and is ultimatly much cheaper.

Because the drug companies are hungry and have a head hold on the profession

with potential legal issues if their drugs are not prescribed. As an

additional positive benefit to the medical profession, the prescriptions

guarantee a

repeat cliental and ongoing inclome stream.

Start talking to a heart specialist about cheap alternative arterial

cleansing protocol to replace stints and bypass. He sees his life's income

going

out the window. Even if the guy has high morals and standards, this person is

looking at his life's work and investment going away. A part of him is not

going to want to see the change.

Non drug is the key. Our current system is playing into the hands of the

drug companies and is being supported by the powerful medical profession. The

right to choose from alternative sources is vanishing and the drug market is

expanding expodencially. Unfortunately, people who have the most pull in

Government are being supported by the injury caused by their treatment.

As someone pointed out you can't get MaHuang, but anyone can go to the

grocery store and get 25mg tabs of pseudoephedrine hcl. The propaganda from the

drug companies and perpetrated on society by our medical system is criminal.

The best way out of our ridiculous medical situation is to mandate the

medical profession give the option of safer and effective alternatives to the

chronic care situation.

With the experts gaining from the prescriptions resulting in additional

health problems, why would they work to change the policy when the result is

they make less money????

One more perspective is that we are shifting our countries monitory

resources away from schools and social programs into the drug companies pockets.

We are creating a society of non thinkers who are programed to trust the

medical profession to give us miracle drugs that in the end primarily serve to

make

rich companies richer and people sicker, which of course makes the rich drug

companies richer.

An expert panel from the Institute of Medicine, part of the National Academy

of Sciences, found that medical errors kill from 44000 to 98000 Americans each

year.
