Hi Attilio,

I've had a stab at a few. I think your spelling or mis-hearing the

names may be part of the problem.

Best,

Godfrey.

Herbs (Latin)

E Zhu Ren – e zhu is Rhizhoma Curcumae Ezhu.

Chan Hou – n/t

Chen Ru – n/t

Gou Lou Ren – Gua lou ren is Trichosanthis Semen.

Su Geng – Zi Su Geng is Perillae Frutescentis (stem).

Zhi He Shou Wu – Radix Polygoni Multiflori (processed).

Bing Xiang – n/t – but Bing Lang (Semen Arecae Catechu)

And Mu Xiang (Radix Saussureae seu Vladimirae) are often used

together as in Vladimiria & Areca Seed Formula?

Li Fu Zi – Fu Zi (Radix Aconiti Carmichaeli Praeparatae).

Formulas (English)

Cheng Qi Tang – xiao cheng qi tang is Minor Order the Qi Decoction.

Yu Zhu Mai Men Don Tang – is this a variation of sha shen mai men dong

tang (Glehnia and Ophiopogonis Decoction which has yu zhu in it?).

Di Ding San – di dang san is Resistance powder.

Li Yin Jian – n/t

Shu Gan Yi Shen Tang – do you mean Shu Gan Ning Shen Tang (Spread the

Liver & Calm the Spirit Decoction)?

>>>E Zhu Ren--could it be the seed of E Zhu (Curcumae Ezhu)? No

sources, just a hunch as " Ren " in other herb names often means seed

though I think a " Ren " is larger than a " Zi " .

(Polygoni Multiflori, Radix)seems like I remember he shou wu being

prepared by wine-frying. Couldn't find in Bensky specifically about

this. Other possibilities according to Bensky are frying in honey,

vinegar, ginger juice. See bottom of page 14 Materia Medica for

effects of each.

or radish seed instead of Fu Zi Aconite--important distinction

indeed!

Those are the ones that struck me as perhaps alternate possibilities

to the ones posted previously.
