Guest guest
Hi Silvia, My understanding of a medical herbalist, is that it derives from the traditional folk medicine of Europe, going back to Pagan times. Unfortunately, I believe that a lot of the diagnostic methods have been lost since then. Probably due to the stamping out of folk medicine by the Church and allopathic medicine, especially during the witch hunt years. I admire the fact that you can go down to any park and find the herbs that your looking for to treat people. This I find really is real folk medicine in your home town area. Please correct me if I'm wrong on any issues. This was my understanding of western herbal medicine whilst I was at Middlesex University which runs both courses side by side. Guest guest
Hi Attilio, Thank you for your explanation about your understanding of a medical Herbalist. At Middlesex we were encouraged to go to parks for medicinal plants identification. I am originally from Peru and there we just go to our garden or the local market to get herbs for different ailments. All the best Silvia Tawse Medical Herbalist Croydon.
