Guest guest
I've had lots and lots of experience treating cervical dysplasia, a.k.a. cervical intraepithelial neoplasia. My advice is to do a pattern discrimination and then write a formula based on the patient's presenting patterns. It seems from your post that you have been able to do a pattern discrimiation which looks from here like a reasonable possibility. My experience is that, with proper adjunctive therapies (diet, exercise, relaxation), mild to moderate cervical dysplasia can be eliminated in three months via internal administration of Chinese herbal meds. Use of an appropriate intravaginal douch helps make such an outcome even more assured. Bob
Guest guest
Hello all. Has anyone had experience treating LSIL (CIN1) cervical dysplasia from HPV? Any feedback on the use of Vagistatin (Health Concerns)? Is there an effective internal formula to combine with this (like " Unlocking " by Health Concerns)? Client's general patterns include Liver-Spleen disharmony, Liver Blood Xu, Kidney Qi Xu (nearly 3 years postpartum, 1 year post-nursing, never received postpartum tonification support). Also, any thoughts on using Composition A (Seven Forests) & possibly Paris 7 as internal adjuncts to Vagistatin? Thanks much for any feedback! - Monica Edlauer

Guest guest
Hi Monica, Many thanks for the DOB info on your patient. this may sound a bit weird to you because you are focused on the symptom of Cervical dysplasia to help your patient with. But my primary focus is on Root cause I want to know about the state of your patient's LI ST and SP meridians. specificaly in relation to structure and function as well as wether any symptoms worsen as a result of perceived stress. Relevant info will compose of: issues of nose, mouth , neck shoulders arms fingers, also colon and lower back skin condition like spots, excema etc., tendencies to catch colds flue ,physical process of digestion, as well as knees, lips, appetite, condition of stools and skin, state of bowels, tiredness at specific times of day, lethargy , heaviness in the body, oedema emotional tendencies to hang on/ dismiss to people or experiences excessive worry or rumination of ideas. headaches if any, I want to know about BP and state of nails and eyes wether there is any aversion to any of the elements wether your patients avoids or prefers any particular colours or foods. This sort of questioning should be standard fare and be part of any diagnosis. Look forward to getting more info salvador www.meridian.qi.acupuncture.com

Guest guest
Sorry if this is a repeat, but it didn't look like my message got posted correctly the 1st time. Anyway - here is my reply, Salvador! (you said, ) " I want to know about the state of your patient's LI ST and SP meridians. specificaly in relation to structure and function as well as wether any symptoms worsen as a result of perceived stress. " Here are the details... <<Issues of nose, mouth , neck shoulders arms fingers>>: Sinusitis, dry lips, shoulder muscle tension, nervous habit of picking at cuticles on fingers – especially thumbs <<also colon and lower back skin condition like spots, excema etc>>: No eczema. Some acne along shaoyang surface of face (SJ/GB channels) & chin. Lower back weakness (iliosacral joints & also lumbar are hypermobile). Irritable bowel – flatulence, sensitivity to high fiber diets (causes gas & bloating) – irritated by stress & PMS. <<tendencies to catch colds flu>>: Yes. <<physical process of digestion>>: Eats a fair amount of protein. Food tends to energize, rather than fatigue. Sugar & caffeine increase heart palpitations. Too much processed sugars and high fiber/milk products cause gas. Transit time is more rapid than average. Occasionally has undigested food in stool. Sometimes nauseated after eating or just before eating in the morning <<as well as knees>>: Some weakness/pain on shaoyang region of knees when running. <<lips, appetite, condition of stools and skin, state of bowels, tiredness at specific times of day, lethargy , heaviness in the body, oedema emotional tendencies to hang on/ dismiss to people or experiences excessive worry or rumination of ideas>>: Lips are slightly pale & slightly dry. Skin is same. Freckles & birth marks over much of skin. Appetite is good, tends to crave snacks late at night Stools alternate between small and pebbly and large and loosely formed when stressed and during PMS. Other times of month, well- formed – average of 2 BM/day. Gas and some bloating when stressed & just before menses. Worse with frozen, milk-based beverages/foods and high fiber foods. Tired off and on throughout the day, worst in the evening (around 8PM), then gets a burst of energy later on (around 11pm). Feels she suffers from " anxiety " – general feeling of fear; and prone to over-thinking. No edema, though feels heavy & fuzzy-headed at times. Hard time letting go of experiences, memories, items <<Headaches>>: none << BP and state of nails and eyes>>: Low BP (90/60). Nails have white spots, ridges. Eyes feel dry (blinks a lot), and slightly pink especially at inner canthus. <<Whether there is any aversion to any of the elements wether your patients avoids or prefers any particular colours or foods>>: Dislikes wind, though loves spring. Summer is favorite season. Winter is least favorite & gets dysphoric if doesn't get enough sunlight. Prefers black & purple, used to crave sweets, though is starting to tend more towards salty flavors recently. Thanks again for your feedback! I'm curious about your questions - what leads you to focus on LI, ST & SP? - Monica
Guest guest
Hi Monica, >>>I'm curious about your questions - what leads you to focus on LI, ST & SP?<<<< If you been following my ranting for any lengh of time you'll note that I always keep coming back to Root and that illness in a person is a folding process not just a separate event. I'd like to think that you now have an ikling of that, in so far as, the nature of my questioning has proved to be highly relevant to the totality of your dysharmonious process. (sorry I am addicted to long words ) . My choice of meridians is related to your date of birth. This is for me the starting process and one aspect of the message that I am attempting to share and teach. Ok, Many thanks for the info. on the strenght of the info provided this is what I think: Exess SP and Def. LI. The excess SP is more than likely responsible for the Cervical dysplasia parly I imagine because of its effect on the LIV and KID although I wouldn't dismiss the power of the LI to also have a hand on this symptoms. At a practical level this is my suggestion oh how to treat your patient which, I beleive, will work over a number of sessions as long as you stay focussed and DO NOT experiment with points outside of the 2 meridians. My choice of points is semi arbitrary and based on experience although for myself I would always choose points based on my energetic sensing of the individual points along the meridian. For more specific points you would have to send me a photo of your patient for remote scanning and that I imagine is really not possible, any how just follow my suggestions Sedate (insert needle and turn anticlockwise leave for 15 - 20 min. Tonify (insert needle and turn clockwise and remove more or less straightaway) Even ( insert needle and turn anticlockwise 90 degrees turn clockwise 70 degrees or so and leave for about 10 min.) 1st TX. Sedate SP-4 SP-7 SP-14 - Even on LIV-13 (branch) Tonify LI-4 LI-11 LI-20 2nd TX Sedate SP-6 , SP-8, SP-15 Tonify LI-1, LI-6, LI-14 anf BL-25 3rd TX Sedate SP-1, SP-5, SP-21 Tonify, LI-7, LI-10,plus some moxa? say 5 cones, LI-15 If the above is accurate, your patient would start to feel more relaxed from 1st tx. by the 3rd tx i would expect the shoulder, nose, worry, lower back,IBS to be less of a bother. The Cervical dysplasia will take a bit longer but then it didn't come over night. good luck Salvador http://www.meridian.qi.acupuncture.com ------------------------------ Here are the details...
