Guest guest
What of the vain healer? The hand is capable, the eye astute. Case after case registers spectacular healing. Months become years, a pattern sets in, adulation from within and without is insistive. The filter of self-assessment clogs, is set aside. Vanity has arrived. If one is vain, one will be the last one to know. If one is vain, the patient will be the first to feel it's ill hand. The rankest vanity can abide where there is a seeming humility. Vanity effectively bungs the ears and fuels the tongue. The finest expertise to healing can be marred with the lightest touch of vanity. If one is vain, the curing will be labored and at times inaccurate, and therefore potentially lethal to the patient. Vanity more than anything else makes a person jump the gun and summate diagnosis, which is flawed and hurtful. Vanity has many faces, because it has none of it's own. If one speaks for the patient, how can the vain hand be justified? The TCM approach leads to profound healing, because it reaches the deepest matrix to rearrange qi trajectory and quantum. By the same token, the wrong approach to regulating it, can produce far deeper and extensive harm, often irreparable because it is not seen. This is written to instigate debate. Guest guest
Hi Dr. Holmes! ROFL! Hasn't been much of a problem around here. Seems to me that the vain healer attracts the vain patients, and he/she can have them. At 01:02 PM 4/28/2004, you wrote: >What of the vain healer?
