Thank you for sharing your stop smoking protocol. I am currently treating 3

patients with varied results (all smoked 1 pack/day): 1 stopped almost

immediately, 1 cut back to 4-5 cigarettes per day and the last cut back to

10/day.

Will give your treatment a try on the two who are still smoking. I did have an

instructor who mentioned he used LI 5 in his stop smoking treatments. Could be

the same principle, yes?

And, now for my two cents...

I agree with you regarding processed food. I have seen family and friends

present with all kinds of disharmonies d/t their 'American' grocery habits. The

sad part being they believe, on some level, they are eating a well-balanced and

healthy diet. My mother just passed away and one of the listed reasons for her

death was malnutrition. Food was available and no one went hungry, it was there

was little nutritional value. And, yes, there were other reasons ---- smoking

and she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

I do think we shall be seeing more mysterious diseases d/t the way most foods

are processed. Not too sure the reason the French are considered healthy even

with their diet of meats, cheese, rich foods is because of the wine (although I

shall continue to have my 3-4 glasses per week just in case. :-D ), but more

likely because their foods are not over-processed and they generally eat foods

from the local area.

In addition to above mentioned eating style being closer to nature, I assume the

energetics of the farmers are passed on to their produce and livestock as part

of the raising process just as the energetics between acupuncturists and

patients are part of the treatment. Think about the difference in energy

between regular grocery stores (corporate farms, pesticides, canning factories),

organic stores, and farmers markets. And there is the taste and/or how your

body feels after eating foods from each supplier.

just a few thoughts.

And now I have to check on my dinner and wine --- yes, it is organic.

to your health.

RE: Digest Number 444

Yeah, most of my health problems started when I was a vegetarian. I too

find that the more meat I eat the better I feel. I wish it wasn't true,

because in my heart I am a vegetarian. I try to buy cruelty-free meat. >>

I have been a vegetarian (no animals, birds or fish) for over 25 years. I am

strong and healthy, the diet suits my nature, it is not a diet for everyone.

I would never reccommend that my patients eat as i do. I will however

encourage them to eat 'real' foods --the stuff not found in boxes! Becoming a

vegetarian is an organic process that should ideally happen from the inside out.

It should not be an idea or concept that is forced upon an individual. But for

some of us, it is the perfect diet.

just my two cents
