Food is largely a matter of culture and choice. One can argue, as many before have, that the most enjoyable things in life are either bad for us or sinful. I smoke (the pipe) heavily and drink moderately. I know that for optimum physical and spiritual health, I should quit both. But I have not reached sainthood yet. Time enough for that! However, I would have a problem if a practitioner who smokes or drinks were to advise ME not to do so. Equally, I would have a problem if a practitioner who does NOT smoke or drink were to advise ME not to do so also! These are personal choices. Likewise, I have a problem with practitioners who discourage most patients from eating red meat! We have a few OTT practitioners who do that, but I know of no red-meat eating practitioner who does so. Guest guest
Hi Phil, I don't discourage others from eating meat. I advise people what I think is best for them without including my own personal beliefs.
