Hi all,

I was with a patient the other day. He mentioned something that

intrigued me about his prostate disorder. He had glaucoma for some

30 years and was taking eye drops for the problem. Long term use of

eye drops had negative effects upon his sinusitis he said. He could

hardly smell or taste. He had a number of operations on both eyes,

also for a detached retina.

He also had frequent urination as a result of problems with his

prostate. Doctors wanted to operate on his prostate but he declined.

During my conversation with him, he said that a homeopath he knew in

Germany linked his sinusitis disorder with his prostate problems.

Has anyone heard of this before?

The sphenoid bone is almost an accurate image of the pelvic bone, except

that it is inverted.

The maxilary sinuses fit into a cavity much like the prostate does

inferiorly.

Often the sphenoid is balanced for pelvic problems, and vice versa.

Prostate enlargement and chronic sinusitis are both

accumulation of damp or dampheat (if there is

accompanying symptoms of excess heat such as fever,

yellow sputum or for prostate urgency and burning of

micturition) in the body. So from chinese medicine

perspective these are related.

Best regards,

Dr Shahzad.

See:

" The Chongmai link: genitalia, sexual function, the nose,

vomeronasal organ and pheromones "

There is a link (via Chongmai) from genitalia (including urethra (and

probably prostate) to nose (and probably sinuses).
