Guest guest
Injunctions are public - whereas negotiations - behind closed doors - are not. Rearranging another's sentences and merging them together to create an unrelated and illogical comparative spin works only until people see the truth. Results, put forth what people and organizations are doing and accomplishing and that's what is most important for the AP/OM profession to see. Tangible results. Some can call what we do 'gripes' or 'complaining' or 'irritational' but after all those names are spoken and fall on deaf ears.....it can not ever change the mission and it certainly doesn't change the past accomplishments nor the ones about to come. There is without a doubt, certain communities intent on wiping out of existence all of wholistic natural medicines/systems and/or in the least exert an unacceptable control over them. There is NO WAY, if we at AOMNC have anything to say about it....that that will ever happen. We know where we stand on this issue. The actions match the words. Maybe someone could post the public information regarding AAOMs attorney (if it the same person during the past 6-7 years), lawfirm and their specialties. This a positive wonderment and interest as to such a powerful and experienced top international lawfirm as a potential ally and assest to the AP/OM profession. Richard In a message dated 4/2/2004 8:48:56 AM Eastern Standard Time, acuman1 writes: Case in point. I'm glad you wrote the two sentences below together. Does that mean, as it ususally does, that one is most likely doing what one accuses others of doing, as you do so well? Before this evolves into further unplesantries, as it usually does, I will discontinue this thread to follow the rules of the forum. " As far as 'the injunction' goes.....when it's time to know...you all will know until such time....there will be silence. As to your (AAOM) attorney.....Mr. Molony why don't you tell this group exactly who the attorney is, the name of the lawfirm he works for and who are THE primary clients of that lawfirm! Hate to say it, but those two sentences were together and exactly as arranged, which is why i put the quotes on both ends. DAve
Guest guest
Instead of hating things...why don't you respond within the group and tell all just who AAOM attorney is and what a great lawfirm he works for plus who their clients are....seems to some that they could (should?) have been a great help to the AOM profession during the past 12 or so years. If you were a member, it would be easy to find out the information, as it has been in newsletters. You may well have already developed a conspiracy theory already, as I am sure the information is easily available to you, or anyone. As it stands, I see no reason why anyone should provide you with anything, given your attitude towards life in general and any not for profit professional organization (since yours is not) in particular. Don' t take it as an insult, as I generally like your input, but why do you have this need to be so abrasive? Do you think it helps you? Guest guest
David Oh the information is easy to find if one knows where and how to look. Just wondering if you were going to be forthcoming to the AOM community and post the information yourself as opposed to what you just basically stated.....that you offer information for a membership fee. Or is there some other reason you don;t wish to post the information? As to the conspiracy theory...no need to establish one as the real-deal exists without any individual having to create one. And if you don;t believe it....not sure where you have been living. As was verbally confirmed to a friend this past week while in Washington, DC (to see certain key members of Congress and one Supreme Court Justice).....'that there is no question that the western medical establishment is intent on wiping out ALL of natural wholistic medicines' - which if you hadn't looked at lately and for quite some time (since 1971), includes acupuncture and oriental medicine. As to providing me with anything..... you are correct.....I am quite capable of finding things out and taking action as seen in the productive results already accomplished with more to come. You obviously are unable to comprehend my attitude in life. The abrasiveness you complain about....seems to be only and primarily felt as such by those who are on the opposite side of the fence. Interesting that those who side with these same actions you feel as abrasive are quite supportive and do not take any actions or words as being abrasive. Actually some want to know why not more of the same. It is truly a sad time when the hard line position must be utilized in order to accomplish a fair and even playing field. And if that is what is necessary....so be it. As to not-for-profit there is no specific concern whether an organization is for-profit or not-for-profit. Generally speaking the deciding factor has only to do with ethics. What is in a status name? Nothing if the ethics aren't there. Certain statements make it seem that a for-profit organization cannot be ethical or has some hidden agenda. AOMNC so far has proven just the opposite. It is not interesting in membership fees and will never be. When donations are requested.....they will be clearly earmarked for legislation, lobbying, public relations etc. and it's members can freely give or not. Their choice. At the same time along the way AOMNC has the right to create a revenue stream in other ways - no different than a not-for-profit. Why.... ALL of the so-called visioning and task force organizations within the AOM field within the United States do not support the full recognition and advancement of the AOM profession during at least the past ten years???? At this point in time this is purely a rhetorical question since they haven't. Conspiracy theory? Self presenvation of a suppressed field of AOM as opposed to the practitioners taking their rightful place as Doctors of Oriental Medicine?
