Guest guest
Hi all, Ok, am on the foreign ward this week, which means foreign diseases such as diabetes or cardiac disorders. I know, go figure. But anyway, got some good info, so here it is. In patients with thrombosis, they are two types, one excessive and the other deficient. In excessive patients the treatment strategy should be directed towards removing blood stasis and reducing platelet aggregation using blood moving herbs. In deficient patients, the treatment strategy should be used to tonify Qi and Blood. Straight forward stuff, i just liked the idea of seperating western syndromes into excess and deficinecy. Other thing is that the use of Yu Xin Geng fluid aswell as Huang Qi and Dan Shen via I.V. has shown to improve myocardial angiogenesis and therefore can be used to treat patients with acute M.I. (myocardial infarction). Secondly, in a study performed by Dr Zhi, our teaching doctor, it was shown that the formula Chuan Hu (Chuan Xiong and San Qi) can increase micro-vascular density in those treated when compared to the control group.
