Guest guest
hi friends, i follow the very basic tenet of excess & deficiency its all relative & is generally dependent on excess compared to deficient. this is so as one cannot have true excess. a glass cannot be filled beyond its capacity. after that it overflows. if the glass were made of special material maybe we could put more in under pressure - but only a tiny bit more. same with the body. we can only carry so much at which point its full. beyond that its always relatively excess. it can happen that we find we are increasing in energy as we might have started with a lesser filled glass. so our concept of energy has been less than what we have at present. thenw e feel that we have excess. our body is always losing energy & we are forever battling the deficient syndrome. which is why we age, & we have problems. so keeping this in mind i find that its impossible to have true excess of yin or yang. we can have true deficiency & whenthe glass is empty we die. wonder what others think of this simplistic way of thinking. anand ===== Anand Bapat Pain Management Specialist Sports Injury Specialist Blacktown, Parramatta, Punchbowl, & Hammondville 0402 472 897 _________ WIN FREE WORLDWIDE FLIGHTS - nominate a cafe in the Mail Internet Cafe Awards www..co.uk/internetcafes
Guest guest
well... lets take the example of the the Stomach. If we class it as deficient, we are making this observation because there are a number of symptoms for which the bottom line is that a number of hormonal fuctions are not occuring this is concurrent with a particular structural misalingment. if we look at an excess ST then we are still looking at number of symptoms for which the bottom line is that a number of hormonal fuctions are not occuring /are occurring in excess and this also concurs with a particular structural misalingment. Both of the above have an emotional impact on the person and particular types of held in emotions will create the above. hormonal dysfunction does not occur in isolation but rather as part of the overall relationship between all the hormonal glands and organs of the body. our feelings of energy are related to the hormonal soup (capacity for emotional expression) and a number of other factors like chemical interactions (triggered by the hormonal catalysts) and aided by diverse items like vitamins, minerals, water, food energy, negative ions in the air and wether or not relevant organs are structurrally free to do their respective jobs. When I place a needle in a person what am I doing? am I really putting energy in to strengthen a deficiency? if this were true it would make no difference wether I inserted the needle clockwiser or anticlockwise. Yet it takes very little experimentation to discern that needle direction is all important. Now I regularly tonify and sedate with my will /intention/ force field only, and direction is everything. What my experimentation has shown me is, that if I imagine my own or a patient's meridian turning clockwise I achieve certain effects, if I imagine the turning to be anticlockwise the effects are consistent with the term 'sedation of symptoms'. I am left with the feling that the term def or excess is a relative term relating to perceived symptoms which denote myofacial / structural dysharmony in a particular direction affecting organ / hormonal function. There are other issues such as blockages within organs but I don't want to complicate this more than I have to. salvador ---------- >hi friends, >i follow the very basic tenet of excess & deficiency >its all relative & is generally dependent on excess >compared to deficient. this is so as >one cannot have true excess. >a glass cannot be filled beyond its capacity. after >that it overflows. if the glass were made of special >material maybe we could put more in under pressure - >but only a tiny bit more. >same with the body. we can only carry so much at which >point its full. beyond that its always relatively >excess. >it can happen that we find we are increasing in energy >as we might have started with a lesser filled glass. >so our concept of energy has been less than what we >have at present. thenw e feel that we have excess. >our body is always losing energy & we are forever >battling the deficient syndrome. which is why we age, > & we have problems. >so keeping this in mind i find that its impossible to >have true excess of yin or yang. we can have true >deficiency & whenthe glass is empty we die. >wonder what others think of this simplistic way of >thinking. >anand > >===== >Anand Bapat >Pain Management Specialist >Sports Injury Specialist >Blacktown, Parramatta, Punchbowl, & Hammondville >0402 472 897 > > > > > > > > >_________ >WIN FREE WORLDWIDE FLIGHTS - nominate a cafe in the Mail Internet >Cafe Awards www..co.uk/internetcafes _______________ Tired of 56k? Guest guest
Hi Fanarok, Usually we don't get patient's asking questions about their condition as this group is closed to patients. You fall into a group where your here because you have a medical background and this group is open to all healthcare professionals and not just TCM practitioners. But as you are here you also seek information about your disorder. So you may need to bear with us as we adjust to your questions. Have you seen a Chinese doctor yet? What other things have you tried? How long have you been diagnosed with this condition? Can you give us a complete breakdown of your health condition? If you are unfamiliar with how a TCM case file is constructed, there is one in the files section titled 'Case file template'. The link to the folder is: http://health.Chinese Medicine/fil es/Case%20Studies/ After we have a better idea of you, we will be able to direct, advice and inform you better. I hope this helps. Guest guest
Fanarok J. Thorsson: when the body is filled to bursting and the next thing feels like it will be the last thing What then? how to stop? i have been noticing the wheels of karma go on > > Karma derives from 'karam', deeds, which in turn takes root from 'kar', hands, with which one does the deed. Karma is one of the more fatalistic Indian school of thought which justifies anything, misfortunes which visit, " Gee that's karma; sorry, ravaged the widow and robbed the orphan, will pay for it in next life by being born a bunion on a beggar's backside.
