Guest guest
I have had this problem for years.I have allergys, red irritated eyes. For awhile,I had problems with dry eyes, and lack of saliva, but That doesn`t seem to be to much of a problem anymore.Maybe some of the supplements I take help with dryness.I`d love to cure my puffy eyelids.Tina
Guest guest
I don't really know how TCM would address this, but Dr Oz has been giving this subject a lot of attention lately. What he's been saying is that the puffy bags under your eyes can be due to edema in the area. A few things can cause that, one of them being allergies. They can also come from (or be made worse by) the fat that is in the eye socket distending and pushing out underneath the eye, which happens naturally as we age. here is a video clip of him answering a very similar question to yours http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/back-fat-under-eye-circles-and-best-alcohol Some of the things he's said you can do about it are to put tea bags on your eyes (check out his site for the details) because they have a chemical in them (tannins I believe) that can constrict the blood vessels, which would reduce the edema in the area. Also he mentions cucumbers on your eyes, but not because they are cucumbers but because they are cold, and obviously cold has a constrictive effect. He also talks about vitamins A C and E to help thicken the skin in the area, and maybe that'll help. Here is a short blip on it out of one of his articles http://www.doctoroz.com/videos/enhancing-natural-beauty?page=10#copy Dunno if that helps. Of course all of this is basically a band-aid or symptomology fix and doesn't really address if there are underlying issues adding to the effect. Good luck =) Chinese Traditional Medicine , " hayleyscocoabear " <cocoabear1965 wrote: > > I have had this problem for years.I have allergys, red irritated eyes. For awhile,I had problems with dry eyes, and lack of saliva, but That doesn`t seem to be to much of a problem anymore.Maybe some of the supplements I take help with dryness.I`d love to cure my puffy eyelids.Tina >
