Guest guest
One of my dogs just ripped a big tear on the inside of his mouth from chewing a bone - I have some yunnan paiyao which is used to stop bleeding from a traumatic injury - right? I got it from an herb teacher years ago - I do not know how to administer this or if I even should use it on a dog - if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. Guest guest
Hi Sherry, As usual, I can't make any statements regarding what is safe for our fur kids, but you are correct in the use of Yunnan Baiyao. It can be applied directly to a cut, or taken internally. Because the cut is inside of the mouth, it will end up being taken internally anyway, so I wouldn't try too hard to get the powder directly on to the cut. Also, the arterial and lymph systems in and around the mouth are kind of designed to deal with this situation quickly. So, trust mother nature a bit too. -al.
